With the approval of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, P.R.China and under General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on the work of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), co-hosted by Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, The People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and Silk-Road Planning and Research Center, the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for Traditional Chinese Medicine Development was held in Beijing on December 18, 2019, in accordance with the Opinions on Promoting the Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. 




The theme of the Forum was 'Let the World Understand TCM and Let TCM Go to the World', and discussed such topics as 'Inheriting the Essence, Keeping Integrity and Innovation', 'Promoting high-quality development of TCM', 'Give Full Play to the Characteristic Superiority of TCM', 'Belt and Road international cooperation in TCM', 'TCM promotes people-to-people’s connectivity in the Belt and Road countries','Genuine Medicinal Materials and Classical Prescriptions'.
